AIS Network
AIS Network
The Automatic Identification System (AIS) is the backbone of modern maritime domain awareness — providing continuous vessel identification, position, course, speed, and voyage data across coastal and port environments. KDU's AIS Network solution establishes, operates, and manages high-capacity AIS shore station infrastructure, delivering persistent vessel tracking and data distribution to port authorities, coastal administrations, and maritime stakeholders.
The system is fully compliant with ITU Radio Regulations, IEC 62320 standards, and IALA Recommendation A-124 on the Provision of AIS Shore Stations, supporting networks of up to thousands of AIS stations with simultaneous access across hundreds of users. Data is received from terrestrial base stations and external feeds, filtered, processed, and distributed in real time to traffic displays, web clients, VTS systems, and third-party maritime databases. Integrated replay, archival, and query tools make the system equally valuable for operations, investigation, and compliance monitoring.
